The Mole Clinic is a surgical dermatology practice — not a spa or medi-spa. This clinic is run by a GP focus practice physician in surgical dermatology. Every diagnosis is clinical. 46,000+ procedures completed since 2008, including over 33,000 OHIP-covered skin procedures, and over 11,000 surgical cosmetic removals (as of December 2025).

Clinical care, kindly delivered.
This clinic is definitely busy, but the waiting area is spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The two women at the front desk were so friendly and knowledgeable—one seemed to be in training, and she was doing an excellent job.
Dr. Khan went above and beyond for me. I had accidentally booked my appointment incorrectly with my family doctor, so the referral wasn't right. I was told I'd need to come back another day to get the full body scan I was hoping for. Even though the mix-up was on my end, Dr. Khan still took the extra time to do a full body scan.
Well done, On time and pleasant.

One clinic. One job. Done well.
Most clinics do skin on the side. We don't. The Mole Clinic was built in 2008 to do one thing — diagnose and treat the skin — and we've spent every day since getting better at it. 46,000+ procedures later, that focus is the difference you feel when you walk in.
Every procedure here is performed by a licensed physician. Every assessment is unhurried. Every plan is yours to take home, in plain English, with the options laid out — including the option to do nothing at all.
Founded and medically directed by Dr. Raza Khan, MD, CCFP, FCFP — alongside our team of clinicians and care staff.
Frequently asked questions.
Answers to common questions about appointments, procedures, referrals and billing.
How soon can I be seen?+
Medical referrals are typically booking 6–8 weeks out, though we sometimes accommodate patients sooner. Non-medical (cosmetic) consultations with straightforward issues can often be seen more quickly. Please call us so we can assess your situation.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?+
If your concern is purely cosmetic, no referral is needed (a $100 + HST non-refundable consultation fee applies). If your concern is medical — such as skin cancer screening or a suspicious lesion — a doctor referral is required and the assessment is OHIP-insured. Referrals are faxed to 519-720-0282.
Is mole removal covered by OHIP?+
If a lesion is suspicious for skin cancer or the diagnosis is unclear, biopsy and removal are covered by OHIP. If the lesion is known to be benign and is being removed for cosmetic reasons, it is not covered. An in-person assessment is the best way to determine coverage.
Is mole removal painful?+
It is virtually painless. The only sensitive moment is the local anesthetic injection — about 5 seconds of stinging. Topical numbing cream is available on request. Once the skin is numb, the procedure itself is not felt.
Will there be a scar?+
No clinician can promise zero scarring. With more than 45,000 procedures completed since 2008, our physicians use techniques designed to minimize scar appearance. Facial removals generally heal better than removals on the body.
What payment methods do you accept?+
Cash, debit, Visa and Mastercard. We also offer prepaid Mole Clinic gift cards, and medical-procedure financing is available through medicard.com.
Can I have a consultation and procedure on the same day?+
Yes — just request this specifically when you book your appointment.
What about after-hours concerns?+
Most patients have problem-free procedures. You receive a detailed wound-care sheet that includes an after-hours email address monitored by our care team. Watch for redness, swelling, tenderness or pus discharge and contact us if any appear.
